The violent crime reduction bill has been passed and given Royal assent. It will come into effect on 6th April 2007. The sting in the tail is that you will be able to purchase a knife south of the border freely. This does not bode well, as Westminster will see this as a way to introduce the same laws in England and Wales thus closing a "loop hole". As we have seen in the past all these new laws only impede legitmate law abiding members of society and turn them into criminals.
