Whilst not yet law, the bill has yet to be passed, more technology to help catch the bad guys. I don't think so. With anti-gun politicians pushing the agenda to make it not only a local but federal law. Here is something that, if you keep an eye on things, you will have read about over the past few years in the U.S. Now M.A.G (Mothers Against Guns), an associate of I.A.N.S.A, is peddling this disproved and discredited information as fact here in the U.K. [all emphasis added]
Many people think that nations with more firearms will have more murder and that banning firearms will reduce murder and other violence. This canard does not comport, however, with criminological research in the U.S. or elsewhere.
There is as always the possibility that this could happen here especially if shooters hand in their guns rather than pay. I urge you take note and keep in contact with your shooting organisation to stop the UK government taking this road. Click here to find out more.
It seems the government are seeking to completely ban swords from thecountry. Another knee jerk reaction from Tony and his group like the pistol ban.
Passing legislation is just a cop out to say they have done something when they don't address the real problem of crime and misbehaviour.
This ban would have a big impact on some religious festivals and no doubt this ban would not apply to Scotland (sword dancing) like the pistol ban did not apply to N.Ireland.
The 100 yard butts have now been repaired so try not to hit the frame work. The wood is pressure treated and will be fine for the next few weeks. We will however treat the wood again once some better weather arrives. So in the mean time DO NOT feel tempted to put paint on them, this was pasrt of the problem last time. Well that and some very strong winds. Good shooting and you should now have your membership cards so do take them with when you attend the range.
This link will take you to the Brighton Argus with more anti gun rhetoric. Once you have read the article go to the letters section and send a letter to the editor detailing why youngsters should be allowed to posses a certificate to lawfully pursue their chosen sport.
